One of the advantages of Community Car Association Membership is access to "preferred"
parking spaces at Ninewells Hospital in Dundee. New arrangements have been agreed between Ninewells Hospital, Vinci
Park and PKCTG for members, and took effect from 6th October 2008. Briefing sheets have been issued to members along
with associated badges.
Vinci Park staff have been trained to recognise the badge when displayed.

Ninewells Hospital
The following general guidelines and information are provided for people visiting Ninewells Hospital.
When
dropping off a patient/visitor at Ninewells Hospital: LEVEL 7 has five drop off bays available for use. However, vehicles must not be parked or left unattended.
If you are
taking a Disabled/Blue Badge Holder to Ninewells, Ninewells Hospital has 94 Disabled
spaces; 70 of which are near the hospital entrance. Disabled persons have to pay to park at Ninewells; however the monies
received are reinvested to help this client group. The most recent investment has resulted in the development of the Award
winning Hospital Mobility Initiative.
Ninewells Courtesy Bus
A Courtesy Bus circulates from Car Park 9 to the
hospital entrance every 10 to 15 minutes. The bus has a tail lift, air conditioning and operates between 9am and 5pm.If you receive
a penalty sticker in a short stay area, due to clinic
or ward delays etc and receive a penalty sticker there is a blue card enclosed with the ticket, which tells you what to do
to appeal against the penalty.

Hospital Mobility
Initiative (located in the main disabled car park car
park 7)
At Ninewells, patients and visitors are able to access free
use of electric scooters and manual wheelchairs using the Hospital Mobility Initiative Scheme.
To access this service the user
has to register, provide 2 proofs of ID (including proof of address) take a short assessment and complete an application form.
The process takes around 40 minutes and the user will be issued with a membership card. Once validated the user can pre-book
or just show their card to access the service.
The Ninewells Hospital Mobility Scheme received National Recognition at the British
Car Park Awards in March 2008. Entered under the Innovation Category, they did not receive an award, however received the
“Special Judges Award” and “Overall Award”.
