MiDAS Training
PKCTG hold MiDAS Training Courses for Voluntary Organisations in Perth and Kinross
on a regular basis. Formats for the course vary dependant on demand and location. Sometimes the
course is held on a single day but occassionally the training takes place over two half days.
- The first part of any MiDAS Course consists of a presentation and theory test.
- The second part is a practical driving assessment.
- Anyone interested in
receiving MiDAS Training must be 21 years of age or older, have held a full licence for two years and must have D1 Entitlement
on their driving licence.

- Photocopies
of both parts of your driving licence

A full programme for the day will be issued to you as soon as possible.
ALL SUCCESSFUL PARTICIPANTS WILL BE ISSUED WITH A CERTIFICATE

PKCTG are hoping to deliver the next MiDAS Course in the Autumn of 2010. The
location of the course will be determined based on the location of those expressing interest. You will be notified
of the venue as soon as possible.
The associated costs will be published as soon as available. PKCTG are currently unable
to subsidise this training, therefore the full cost of the course will have to be met by the participants.

Some previous courses
A MiDAS course was delivered to three individuals on
26th and 27th February 2010. The representatives were from Pitlochry Golf Club, Pitlochry Senior Citizens and PKAVS.
PKCTG Delivered MiDAS training to eight individuals
on 23rd and 24th October 2009. The respresentatives were from Aberfeldy Sharks, Kinross-shire Day Centre, Pitlochry
Senior Citizens, PKCTG, Strathcare and Vale of Atholl Pipe Band.
PKCTG delivered MiDAS training for six individuals on
the 23rd and 24th January 2009. The representatives were from P&K Scouts, Aucheterarder Parish Church, The Gospel
Hall - Kinross and Ardoch Development Trust.
Six individuals from Pitlochry Senior Citizens and Good Neighbours completed their MiDAS Training
delivered by PKCTG in October 2008. In addition, two representatives from Aberfeldy Sharks successfully completed the
course!
Seven
individuals completed MiDAS training in Blairgowrie on 6th September 2008. All seven participants are members of Blairgowrie
and District Next Steps (BADNS) walking group.
Eight people received MIDAS Training in March 2008 from PKCTG. Participants representing
Strathcare, Pitlochry Senior Citizens, Kinross Day Centre, Teenscene and Auchterarder Walking Group.
